About Us

Dr Anthony Puljich is a born and bred Gold Coast local who returned home after completing his undergraduate degree at The University of Adelaide in 2005.

Commencing work in private practice, he performed a wide range of dental procedures on patients of all ages. In 2014, he finished postgraduate studies in dental implant therapy and focused his clinical practice on cosmetic dentistry and dental implants. After appreciating the importance of gum health for cosmetic and dental implant longevity, he completed further postgraduate training to become a specialist periodontist. Periodontists are dentists who complete a further 3 years of full-time study in the area of gum health and aesthetics.

Dr Puljich has a special interest in assisting general dentists to expand their knowledge and skill base to provide comprehensive dental care to their patients. As both an owner of his clinic and a history of mentoring and supporting dentists with various levels of experience, he understands the difficulty general dentists have in undertaking complex dental treatment due to a gap in skills or knowledge in one particular aspect of dentistry.

By working closely with referring practitioners, he hopes to provide support in providing high-quality dental care to their own patients and assist them in long-term maintenance.

Outside of dentistry, Dr Puljich is involved in a range of community pursuits. As a father of four young children, he understands the role a strong, vibrant community has to assist people to achieve their maximum potential.

Dr. Sergi Miralles is a highly qualified and experienced visiting dentist with a wealth of knowledge and expertise to offer his patients. He graduated from the University of Barcelona Dental School in 2005 and went on to receive his Master’s Degree in Oral Rehabilitation and Maxillofacial Prosthetics followed by an Advanced Studies Diploma in Dental Clinical Techniques (Honors). Throughout his career, Dr Miralles subsequently completed advanced training with some of the world’s leading dentists.

As a certified Digital Smile Design (DSD) expert, Dr. Miralles has over 15 years of experience in providing comprehensive oral rehabilitation and advanced aesthetic dentistry, with a focus on creating beautiful and natural-looking smiles.

Dr. Miralles is based in the Northern Rivers area and is committed to providing the highest level of care to his patients at Dental Implants and Aesthetics. He is fluent in Catalan and Spanish and In his free time, you can find him exploring the great outdoors through cycling, hiking and sailing.

Leonor is a Queensland-based Hygienist committed to quality service and professional dentistry.

Leonor began her dental industry journey in 2004, entering the profession as a dental assistant in Auckland NZ, it was in this role she found a passion for helping others and realised the role hygiene services played in the dental industry and most importantly, contributing to her patients improved dental health outcomes.

Her passion for dentistry led her to study at AUT (Auckland University of Technology) for a Bachelor in Oral Health. She worked in New Zealand in private practice until early 2022 when she decided to relocate to Brisbane and enjoy the amazing Queensland weather and lifestyle.

Leonor has a special interest in assessing and treating mild to moderate periodontal conditions and helping her patients to improve their oral health.
Leonor recognises that patient education is pivotal in order to influence positive behavioural changes and to create sustainable improved home care habits and to prevent periodontal or dental problems before they start.

Leonor keeps herself up to date by attending seminars, conferences, online webinars and additionally acquiring and developing further learning to expand her knowledge specifically, in dental hygiene and now by joining Dr Anthony Puljich and the team at The Perio Specialists & Dental Implants in Carrara Gold Coast.

Outside working hours, she enjoys practicing meditation, yoga, reading on several science and spiritual subjects, exercising and socialising.
