Cone Beam CT Machine

Our practice facilities are equipped with a cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) machine. A CBCT machine is a special type of x-ray equipment that our team uses when regular dental or facial x-rays are not sufficient.

The Cone beam CT machine is a recent technology that utilises a medical fluoroscopy tube, which generates less radiation but still allows us to capture incredibly accurate and high-resolution radiographs

This technology allows us to produce detailed 3D images of your bone, soft tissues, teeth, and nerve pathways in a single scan. It assists our providers to evaluate diseases of your dentition, bone structure, jaw, nasal capacity and sinuses and therefore, may be performed prior to any endodontic surgery.

A cone beam CT exam generally takes on average 30 minutes to complete. During the scan, you will not experience any pain and can return to your normal activities once the exam is complete. Dr Anthony Puljich will inform you if a cone beam CT exam is required as part of your treatment.
