Dental Implants

Dental implants can be defined as a screw-like titanium anchor that is used as an artificial replacement for natural tooth roots. Once the implant has fused to existing bone, it can then provide the structure for a prosthetic tooth.

With the use of innovative digital technology, Dr Puljich will scan and digitally plan the placement of the implant. Once the appropriate plan has been erected, a titanium rod will be surgically anchored into the jaw using the hole created by your missing tooth, this is called keyhole surgery.

Once completed, we allow 3-6 months for osseointegration to occur, which is the process in which your bone accepts the implant as it fuses to mimic a natural tooth root. The next stage of this process will see Dr Puljich take an impression of the Implant and have a custom-made crown fixture designed that mimics the appearance of the rest of your teeth.

Multiple dental implants offer a comfortable and functional approach to multiple tooth loss as they replace teeth without support from adjacent natural teeth, deeming it the best solution for long-term success.

Where single dental implants get placed in the gap of your tooth, multiple dental implants help by supporting the fixture of a bridge or a denture opposed to single crowns. This allows more prosthetic teeth to be implemented without needing an implant for each crown.
